Typically these patients do not have a lot of excess skin and the laxity is mostly at lower abdomen only. They also have good muscle tone, especially at their upper abdomen. The procedure involves only the lower abdomen. The umbilicus (belly button) is not moved and the incision is shorter. However, keep in mind only a minority of patients are good candidate for this procedure and a consultation is needed to determine who would be a good candidate for this procedure.
