Note: This weight-loss patient came in with concerns about her breasts, abdomen, buttocks and arms. Regarding her arms, she was unhappy with the size of the arm as well as the extra hanging skin, despite her weight loss efforts.
She elected to have an avulsion brachioplasty with liposuction to tighten the arm. The incision was joined with a breast lift incision to maximize tightness at the lateral chest.
The arm lift and breast lift were performed in a single operation.

Note: This woman lost significant weight through diet and exercise, and had concerns regarding her arms afterward. Following her weight loss, she had some excess skin in the region of the arms, and also some residual fatty deposits. This patient underwent a combined procedure including liposuction of the excess fatty deposits of the arms at the same time as removing the excess arm skin.
The final scar goes from armpit to elbow and is designed to be at the lower border of the arm to decrease visibility. A maturing arm lift scar can take months to years to fade. The patient can now wear fitting clothing as feels more confident after her arm lift operation.
