Brachioplasty / Arm Lift Case 30053
Note: This weight-loss patient came in with concerns about her breasts, abdomen, buttocks and arms. Regarding her arms, she was unhappy with the size of the arm as well as the extra hanging skin, despite her weight loss efforts.
She elected to have an avulsion brachioplasty with liposuction to tighten the arm. The incision was joined with a breast lift incision to maximize tightness at the lateral chest.
The arm lift and breast lift were performed in a single operation.
Arm Lift / Brachioplasty Case 30154
Note: This patient lost 80lbs after a gastric sleeve and was bothered by the loose skin of her arms. She underwent an avulsion brachioplasty and her results are seen here at 3 months postop. Notice the incision is placed at the lower border of the arm so it is less conspicuous during daily activities.
Arm Lift / Brachioplasty 30041
Note: This woman lost significant weight through diet and exercise, and had concerns regarding her arms afterward. Following her weight loss, she had some excess skin in the region of the arms, and also some residual fatty deposits. This patient underwent a combined procedure including liposuction of the excess fatty deposits of the arms at the same time as removing the excess arm skin.
The final scar goes from armpit to elbow and is designed to be at the lower border of the arm to decrease visibility. A maturing arm lift scar can take months to years to fade. The patient can now wear fitting clothing as feels more confident after her arm lift operation.
Albuquerque Brachioplasty 30008
Note: This woman lost 50 pounds after a gastric banding procedure. She has very well-localized excess skin and fat on her upper inner arms. Liposuction would not be sufficient as the skin would not shrink back enough. Her brachioplasty (arm lift) provided the needed skin reduction to give the desired contour.
Albuquerque Brachioplasty 30026
Note: This patient lost 95 pounds after gastric sleeve operation. She had significant excess skin and some residual fatty tissue that she wanted to remove.
