Breast Lift, sometimes combined with Breast Augmentation, is an excellent procedure to improve the contour of sagging breasts due to pregnancy/breastfeeding and aging.
Breast Lift Example 1*
Notes: This patient had breast augmentation by another surgeon many years ago and now desired to have her breasts lifted. She liked the size and did not wish to have reduction mammoplasty. She had a standard “keyhole” type of incision and had the excess skin removed and the breasts lifted without removal of the breast tissue.
Breast Lift Example 2*
Implants: round smooth saline implants 200 cc inflated to 220 cc
Estimated cup size change: 36 B to 36 C
Notes: The patient desired to lift and increase the size of her breasts. Although sometimes this can be achieved with augmentation alone, she would have ended up with breasts that were too large for her. Breast lift (mastopexy) and augmentation with implants were performed to achieved a lift and modest increase of the breast size.
Breast Lift Example 4*
Note: She had a breast lift with 250 cc implants inflated to 300 cc. Note the scars from surgery were barely visible after one and a half years.
Breast Lift Example 5*
Note:This patient had lost weight from 240 pounds to 130 pounds over four years. She was a 34A size with a lot of droopiness (3.5 cm ptosis). She wanted to go to full D size with silicone implants and breast lift. She received 500 cc implants.
Mastopexy Breast Lift Example
Note: This gentleman bas not only excess glandular tissue and fat, but also some excess skin. At 60 years old, the skin is not likely to shrink back enough. Therefore, inframammary (under-the-crease) incision is used to remove the excess glandular tissue, fat and skin.
Mastopexy Breast Lift Example #2*
Note: This young woman has very mild doopiness of breasts. She is not interested in enlarging the size but would like to reduce the areolar size a little. We did an eccentric “donut” mastopexy by reducing a rim of areolar tissue at each breast and to reduce and raise the areola.
