Otoplasty Case 30370
Age:42
Note:This patient came in with dissatisfaction regarding her ears. She felt they protruded out too far from her head. She underwent otoplasty or ‘ear pinning’ procedure to improve the protrusion.
Note the ear shape is still natural, and the folds of the ear are accentuated post operatively. The scars are placed behind the ear and hide well. She can now wear her hear back without feeling self-conscious.
Otoplasty or Ear Surgery Photos 30016
This 24-year-old woman has been quite self-conscious of her prominent ears. The ears protruded because of overprojection of the concha cartilage. The correction involved removal of excess skin and cartilage from the ears. The scars were behind the ears and well hidden. The surgery successfully reduced the projection of the ears.
