Thigh Lift Example Case 30110
Age:35
Note: This gentleman came in with concerns of loose skin after a dramatic weight loss using only diet and exercise. He was mainly bothered by hanging skin in the front and some sagging in the back as well as loose inner thigh skin. He also had some stubborn fatty deposits in the flanks despite his weight loss efforts.
He elected to have a body lift with liposuction of the abdomen and flanks as well as a medial thigh lift.
His thigh lift incision is hidden in the crease between thigh and pubic region. Notice the improved contour of the upper thigh after surgery. The appearance is natural and makes working out, especially cycling, more comfortable.
Thigh Lift 30028
Age:70
Note:This weight-loss patient came in with concerns about some procedures she had performed at another practice but was not happy with. Her main issue was with her thighs. Despite significant weight loss, the patient still carried fatty deposits in the front of the thigh especially. She was also unhappy with the skin quality.
The patient was counseled that the size of the thigh could be improved with liposuction, but removing the extra fat from the leg, aka debulking it, would make the leg skin look worse, as it would be even more deflated. She was offered the option of having the liposuction first, and then coming back to trim away the worsened skin in the form of a thigh lift.
Overall her thigh is significantly reduced in circumference postoperatively, with a noticeable but modest improvement in skin tightness after the lift. The challenge in this patient is the quality of skin in the thigh has been harmed by weight loss and age, and no operation will dramatically improve that damaged skin that is left behind after a lift. The patient went into the operation knowing this, and is happy with her smaller and modestly tighter thighs.
Thigh Lift 30010
Age:52
Note:This weight-loss patient came in with concerns about her breasts, abdomen, buttocks, thighs, arms and upper back region. Regarding her thighs, she was unhappy with the size as well as the look. Given that she retained a significant amount of thickness in the thighs, she was counseled to have a staged operation. Shs first elected to undergo a 'deflating' procedure where she had aggressive liposuction, and then several months later, she underwent removal of the excess skin. It is important to note that after the healing period of surgery 1, her thighs were smaller but actually looked worse because they had been deflated of the excess fat.
Her final incision is from groin to knee, and after her staged thigh lift procedure, her clothing choices are no longer limited by thigh size. As you can see from her tanlines, she is enjoying her new body in a bikini. Her thighs are smaller and tighter, and despite taking more than one operation, she is thrilled with her new body.
This patient also had a body lift, liposuction and a Brazilian butt lift as accessory operations.
Notice that over the course of her journey, the patient kept up her activity level and fitness and maintained her tone for a superior result.
