The incision is still easily coverable with underwear, and will continue to fade to a thin white line over the next year or longer.

Note:This patient came in with concerns regarding her body after childbirth. She was unhappy with the proportional size of her abdomen compared to the rest of her body, and felt there was loose skin left behind after having kids.

The patient was counseled pre-operatively that she carried a fair amount of fat inside the abdomen, or viscerally, where it can not be removed using liposuction. She was counseled that weight loss and a fitness routine would be required after the tummy tuck to give her the results she wanted.

She elected to have an abdominoplasty with liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, and tightening of the muscles. Once cleared by her surgeon, the patient did lose some additional weight, giving her a perfectly flat abdomen when viewed from the side. Also notice the lifted appearance of the buttocks after aggressive flank liposuction.
